Just to elaborate on the shadow priest priority 1.2. Clarity of Power Priorities 1.2.1. Single Target, Traditional Intellect; Spell Power; Mastery; Multistrike; Critical Strike; Haste; Versatility Rating. 1.2.2. Clarity of Power Lite, DoT Weaving, or Multiple Target Intellect; Spell Power; Multistrike; Critical Strike; Haste; Versitility; Mastery. 1.3. Void Entropy Intellect; Spell Power; Multistrike; Critical Strike; Haste; Versatility; Mastery. 1.4. Auspicious Spirits Intellect; Spell Power; Critical Strike; Haste; Multistrike; Versitility; Mastery. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Upej1okSiRM that's a video explaining what "dot weaving" is and how to play it, note dot weaving is currently the best way to play a shadow priest currently.

Regarding ranged dps and your specialization:
I want you to play the spec you are comfortable with. I want you to have fun in raids and play something you have fun with. We are a casual guild and I will always try to treat my minions in a casual way.
Having said that, in the previous expansion we raided 10-man HC. This was the hardest content available and we will probably try and do the hardest content again. As much as I want you to have fun, I need you to be realistic. There is a reason why there are no more then two warlocks on the mythic team and there are three hunters. That reason is simdps.
Things are of course always changing, abilities get nerfed and others get boosted, you might be able to do more dps in a certain spec just because you are skilled in it and so on. Simdps is only an indication of the current class status, it is a general guideline, to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Going into mythic, I want you to be able to do the best dps available to your class. When forums and websites tell you you can do 1k dps more in a certain spec, you will log on and find out if it is true. You will keep up to date on any class changes and adapt when needed. This is the standard I hold myself and all other ranged dps to.

What Yannick wrote above is also the reason I switched from BM to MM, it's my least favorite spec for my class, but it gives me around 6-8k more dps.
That dps is needed on some bosses, cough Butcher cough, so I don't mind that much. Even if I don't like the spec, I like being a benefit for the raid team more.

I've already said this to Sam and others, but if we ever do a combined group again we do NOT use these rules None of us from the other team do and some of us have already made sacrifices due to that fact (given away bis items to players where the secondary stats are subpar, just because they "won the roll"). Itemization in HM is also very stupid, and quite impossible to find items with perfect secondaries. Thankfully we only had one conflict I noticed, but overall this was unfair and looked a bit elitist Also how can you say that is BiS "even in BRF" when the tier items are coming up? Just take a look at this ffs: www.wowhead.com/item=115568/helmet-of-guiding-light(yes Im mad, not because of the item but because of how people behaved).

So I now know of two instances of members of my raiding group winning rolls but the loot being given away to someone else. This is BS people And these rules have not allowed your team to gear up any faster than mine

Hey there Sigi Here comes my 2 cents. Why complain on this afterwards what does it help you and the raid teams?
What was wrong was that this was not explained and decided on before hand. R2 has decided on using Personal loot which is fine your decision. While the officers in R1 was in the opinion to implement a kind of loot council which is all fine as well.
So Sam has already apologized not conveying this last night that should be the end of it. People make mistakes we all do probably even you.
SO before next raid decide what kind of loot rules you will use before the raid that simple.
Loot things always cause arguments in this game if its not sorted before the raids we all know that.

ok here goes again.
not sure who said what on the loot rules but this was obviously a pre raid decision, The way we did it is a fair way and it stop is people mindlessly rolling on gear that they wont use more then a day or so if at all just because it is a slight upgrade. if i inspect someone rolling on an offhand and they are using a hc staff already im sorry they dont need said offhand and this is before we even get into bis slots. if someone won an item already and try to demand another then thats selfish.
people still dont seem to understand the fact the raid tier is BOTH RAIDS just because your bis item is not in highmaul you cant make up another one cause you have no loot (craft it if your desperate) - the 10ilvl difference is nothing and secondary stats are worth so much more, certain specs have more gear in certain raids, once someone has there bis item they will use it for a long time.
we could have split the loot evenly but as it is i think one team actually won more of the rolls yet they are the ones complaining.
sorry, but if people dont know what they should be using or are unfair to others i have no sympathy, i didn't win anything i rolled on, but such is life

It must have seen incredibly elitist of me when I won a roll on a heroic chest item and passing on it while asking two other people who rolled on it if they would consider passing on it so the fourth roller could get the item since:
I already had a hc chest item but with bad stats; The second roller already had a hc chest item; The third roller had a warforged normal chest item with good stats;
And the fourth roller had a normal chest item. I feel like a monster, thinking that we are a team and considering that the worst geared person could benefit most from it. Ow and since in your second post you go "team 1" vs "team 2", I won the roll and Mimi, the fourth roller got the chest. So you can add a point for "team 2".

Guys in general I agree with everything you said above.. but what annoyed me was Hjerterkung saying it was his "BiS for a long time", and he even offered to trade me the helmet. Since haste is one of my worst stats I told him to keep it. But looking at loot ranking on Mr Robot it's clearly NOT his BiS when you include BRF.. even the normal mode T17 helm is better than this item. So based on that (and the fact versatility is pretty much useless to him), then I'd say we had an equal right to roll on this item. The other case was Nighterfive winning a trinket which is the 2nd best trinket currently for him, but it was given to an elem shammy. Bottom line - Whenever there is a human factor involved it's very hard to stay fair in all cases.. but you need to be very careful that you are following the rules you set. I'm sure in most cases you are, but we're all "only" human. You might read this as just me whining about loot (which is the impression I get from your replies and you not replying to my main concerns), I'm just pointing out issues with your current system and how it can cause drama And please remember that even if all your members don't speak up, that doesn't necessarily mean they're all happy. P.S. We are using MasterLoot now and rolling if you need. We do question weird rolls (dps rolling on a cloak with spirit has happened), but generally people win what they win.

Why complain on this afterwards what does it help you and the raid teams? I'm just trying to prevent further drama by pointing out things that went wrong.. not only by the rules not being clear, but also examples of why they weren't correct.

No need for sarcasm here, I've never said everything you did was unfair. I've certainly seen my fair share of people being greedy and rolling on items that are a minor upgrade for them vs huge for others.
