Welcome,
If you are reading this thread, you most likely have an intrest in joining our raid team.
Hopefully the information below about our guild and raid team will help make your decision as to whether you want to apply or not.
For Warlords of Draenor we are recruiting following classes/roles:
- Mage
- Boomkin
- Elemental Shaman
- Demonology Warlock
- Hunter
Social Raiding Guild
This guild is social at its core. We are not united as a guild merely to raid, but to enjoy raiding whilst we're at it. Most of us get along well with eachother, and we have lots of banter during our raids. This is the biggest reason why we view ourselves as a social raiding guild.
We also generally show respect to eachother and do not view someone as a "lesser raider" if they don't perform as well as other players. We are not all on the same skill level and respect the fact that other, newer players have to deal with a higher learning curve. This does not mean that we accept just anyone who wants to join our raid team. A minimum skill level (defined individually by officers of Cold Turkey) is required, aswel as taking responsibilty for your own actions and executing tasks you are given during fights.
Raid Team Management
Raidleaders
Jefreyorcish
Aizawe
Rolemasters
Tanks: Jefreyorcish
Melee DPS: Chindo
Ranged DPS: Yucko
Healers: Timpiss
Jefreyorcish and Aizawe are our raidleaders: they provide the raid team with a general lay-out and tactical plan for the fight. Our rolemasters manage the pool of raiders and rotate depending on farm and progress bosses. They take a number of variables into account when choosing the raiders for a raid night, such as: attendance, raid awareness, output, ...
As a social raiding guild, we respect the fact that attendence is not always guaranteed due to real life commitments. Therefore, we expect an attendance of 2 out of 3 raid days for every raider. We also will be rotating to give people as many opportunities as the other raiders. Everyone will be able to prove themselves which will give the better raiders a spot in progress nights. Number-wise we aim to have 30 raiders at our disposal: everyone will be granted a raid spot up until Mythic. When we start mythic, we should have no problem filling the raid spots and should have more than enough players to raid every night we plan to.
It is required to download and use the add-on Deadly Boss Mods (http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/deadly-boss-mods) and our voice communication channel Teamspeak 3 (http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads) in order to be able to raid with us.
Applying for Cold Turkey
If you are now convinced that you want to raid with Cold Turkey (and you play a class/role that we are in need of), feel free to put up an application in the thread below this thread.
Your application will be viewed by the officers of Cold Turkey and we will contact you in game as to whether your application is accepted or denied. Note that your application on the forums can only be viewed by officers and that when you join as a new recruit, your performance will be judged, which will eventually make you able or unable to join our raid team permanently.
