Signups, Availability and Punctuality
Our Scheduled raid days are Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, Anyone wishing to raid must be able to attend at least 2 days a week.
You can sign up for raids using the in-game calendar, raids are usually put up a month in advance so you can pre-plan any holiday etc and sign yourself 'out' during those times.
We raid from 20.00 Server time till 23.00 server time. These are set raid times and as you would a job ,we expect you to arrive on time and leave on time This means being inside the instance, fed, flasked, repaired and ready to pull at exactly 20.00. (not logging in at 20.00 and asking for an invite.) and staying for the duration of the raid. If you are unable to stay for the entire duration of a raid then you must advise an officer or Raid leader prior to starting (the earlier we know the better) likewise if you are expected to be late for whatever reason.
There will be EPGP penaltys for those who are late and those who leave without good cause (house burning down around them, Child choking on next doors cat etc..)
Loot Rules and EPGP
The loot point system we use is EPGP (Effort Points, Gear Points) and is a simple concept to prioritise loot based upon how much effort people have put into raiding and how much gear they've received. basically whoever has the highest PR value (priority) is next in line for loot. When you raid you get EP (effort points) and when you gain gear you get GP (gear points). PR = EP / GP so the higher EP is in relation to GP the higher your PR will be. As you gain GP from winning loot your PR falls and you drop down the list and someone else becomes next in line to win gear.
This method requires you to have the EPGP addon installed, which you can find Here .
Offspec loot for Healers and Tanks is free in order to allow more raid versatility without compromising their main spec gear. However gear will always be prioritised to players needing for mainspec
Our Lootmaster is Jarico and any loot issues should be forwarded to him, however please save any non urgent issues until after the raid and most importantly never bring up loot issues whilst he is assigning loot and EPGP.
One of the main issues arises is from bonus rolls being made after selecting loot via the EPGP addon. This causes huge disruption and requires redistribution of both GP and the Loot itself. As a rule Bonus Roll before deciding whether you want to roll on an item. or Bonus Roll after the item has been distributed if you didnt win.
Teamspeak
Teamspeak is mandatory for all raiders and you can download it Here
Our Teamspeak server details are as follows:
server - ct.spillvert.no
password: BananaramaisHot
We would ask that you are respectful to others, keep chatter clear during bossfights and looting and understand that you may be muted or removed from the raid if you troll/disrupt the group
Addons
The following addons are mandatory if you wish to raid
Angry Assignments
DBM/Bigwigs - ensure it is updated
EPGP lootmaster
GTFO
Exorsus Raid tools
Weakauras 2 (a fully versatile addon that allows you to create timers, warnings, track procs and debuffs etc)
Other addons which are not mandatory but may assist in increasing damage/healing output are
Tellmewhen (Proc and cooldown timers)
Clique (mouseover button binding)
Vudhu (raidframes)
Grid (raidframes)
Role/Class leading
Although the Rank has now been made defunct we still require at least one member of each role (Healer, Ranged, Melee, Tank) to be able to provide some guidance whilst we raid. this is limited mainly to positional commands and encounter specific mechanics.
The current setup is as follows
Main Backup
Healing Eridanus Sandixy
Ranged Yucko Malpheron
Melee Timpiss Mightyduck
Tanks Khãrn Jarico
Raiding with Alts
Raiding with alts is strictly prohibited and will only be permitted if a class we do not have in the current setup is required, this would require the specific alt to be geared to a level which is relevant to the encounter and loot would not be awarded
Switching Mains
Again switching mains is something which we do not generally allow, the reasons being that if you switch then the likelihood is that you would have already geared one character somewhat and the gear which you have accrued would no longer beneficial to the raid team as a whole. furthermore its likely that although you prefer playing your 'alt' the chances are you're not as proficient a raider as you would be on your main. That said it's not entirely prohibited but you would have to seek permission from the Guild Officer council and the Raid Leader and we would ask that before switching that you have the new main geared to an acceptable level which must be done in your own time and preferably done at the start of an expansion or on release of a new raid that way the guilds loot distribution suffers less.
Raid Performance and Team Selection
This is the current 'Big Issue.' Over the last few months there has been a strong decline in the overall quality of our performances, and whilst everyone wants to raid and progress, not everyone we have within our group is at the same skill level. Ultimately those who are more skilled and could tackle more difficult content will be held back by others, unfortunately this means we may have to make changes in order to push the guild forward.
The be all and all is that if you want to be the best you can be then you need to put in the hard work. sit on a training dummy for an hour at a time until your rotation becomes instinct, ensure you have addons such as GTFO installed to warn you to move if you're standing in the fire etc, or weakauras in order to maximise DPS during trinket procs.
